Eye Care 4 U offers a wide range of services to properly diagnose, treat and manage many eye related health issues as well as assist in properly maintaining your vision.

About 50-90% of computer users have complaints about their vision. These complaints include: soreness, tired eyes, vision fluctuations, and redness – especially with contact lenses use. One of the main factors contributing to these complaints is dry eyes. As most of our patients spend a lot of their time in front of a computer, tablet, or phone, we have introduced new methods into our practice to improve your comfort and overall health of your eyes.

Do you suffer from Eye fatigue? Headaches? Dry eyes? Blurred Vision? Trouble focusing? These may be symptoms of Computer Vision Syndrome. For optimal vision health, periodic vision testing exams are recommended even if you have no current vision problems or discomfort. With most of us facing in front of computers, phones, tablets, etc., eye fatigue is a common complaint, along with headaches, and losing the ability to focus.

Computer glasses, eye exercises, and other ways to decrease these symptoms are discussed with our doctors.

The eye doctors at Eye Care 4 U use a wide range of tests and state-of-the-art tools to examine your eyes.

These tests range from routine eye exams to advanced eye exams. Some of the tests that are covered during a routine comprehensive eye exam include: Visual Acuity, Retinal Imaging Test (OCT), Fundus photography, Refraction, Eye pressure checks, Slit lamp exams cover internal and external exams of the eyes, Glaucoma tests, pupil dilation, Visual field test, Depth perception and colour vision tests.

Eye exams for contact lenses include special tests that typically are not performed in routine eye exams for eyeglasses. If you are interested in contacts, or are a current contact lens wearer, we will evaluate the fit and ensure that the cornea is healthy.

Contact lenses are an excellent option as full-time wear or for those who choose to wear them for sports or weekends only. We provide fittings for various types of contact lenses such as soft disposables. These can vary from dailies, bi-weekly, or monthly. We also fit for specialty rigid gas permeable lenses (RGP), and also specialize in evaluating contacts for those who suffer from allergies.

We specialize in the fit and evaluation of all types of contact lenses. We fit the top brands of lenses for patients with astigmatism to ensure that you have the clearest vision and stability of a “toric” astigmatic lens.

We carry a wide variety of all brands of contact lenses when placing your order, and also provide trial pairs to patients to experience the different types we offer to fit your comfort and lifestyle.

Glaucoma is a condition that causes damage to your eye’s optic nerve and gets worse over time. It’s often associated with a buildup of pressure inside the eye. Because most people with glaucoma have no early symptoms or pain from this increased pressure, it is important to see your eye doctor regularly so that glaucoma can be diagnosed and treated before long-term visual loss occurs.

Eye Care 4 U will test your vision and examine your eyes through dilated pupils, or images of the optic nerve. The eye exam typically focuses on the optic nerve which has a particular appearance in glaucoma. Our doctors will also perform a procedure called tonometry to check for eye pressure and a visual field test, if necessary, to determine if there is loss of side vision.

Glaucoma tests are painless and take very little time.

Lasik is the most commonly performed laser eye surgery to treat myopia (nearsightedness), hyperopia (farsightedness), and astigmatism (refractive error of the eye). Our office co-manages with LASIK specialists, and can provide any type of consultation and referral for any patient who may be interested.
